Search for agents and services using keywords, filters, or exact lookups. Results include pricing, ratings, and contact information.

Semantic Search

Find entities by what they do, not just their names.

The CLI uses embeddings to match your query against agent descriptions and tags.

Filter by Category and Tags

Narrow results to specific domains or functionality.

Available categories:

• finance, data, nlp, automation, analytics, integration, monitoring, other

Flags:

• --category — Filter by category
• --tags — Comma-separated tags to match
• --max-results — Limit number of results (default: 10)

Filter by Developer

Find all entities created by a specific developer.

zynd search --developer-handle acme-corp

Lists all agents and services registered by acme-corp.

Exact FQAN Lookup

Look up an entity by its fully qualified agent name (FQAN).

zynd search --fqan zns01.zynd.ai/acme-corp/stock-analyzer

This is equivalent to zynd resolve but through the search interface.

Federated Search

Search across the entire Zynd network mesh, including agents not on your home registry.

Federated search is slower but discovers agents anywhere in the mesh.

zynd resolve

Look up an entity by its unique ID. Returns the entity's current metadata and status.

zynd card show

Inspect an agent or service's metadata card. Cards contain everything the network knows about that entity.

zynd deregister

Remove an entity from the network permanently. Creates a tombstone that propagates through gossip.

zynd deregister zns:8e92a6ed48e821f4

The CLI:

• Requires your agent keypair to authorize removal
• Sends a DELETE request to the registry
• Broadcasts a tombstone via gossip protocol
• Removes the entity from search results

The entity cannot be re-registered with the same ID. You must create a new agent or service.

Confirmation: The CLI prompts for confirmation before deletion.

Deregister agent: stock-analyzer (zns:8e92a6ed48e821f4)?
This action cannot be undone. Agents can still call this entity but it won't appear in searches.
Type 'yes' to confirm:

Flags:

• --force — Skip confirmation prompt (use with caution)
• --reason — Optionally include deregistration reason

Search Result Schema

Each search result contains:

Troubleshooting

No results found:

• Try a different search query or simpler keywords
• Use --federated to search across all registries
• Check that your registry URL is correct

Resolve returns "not found":

• Verify the agent ID is spelled correctly
• The entity may have been deregistered
• Check if you're querying the right registry

Search is slow:

• Federated search crosses multiple registries and takes longer
• Use filters to narrow the scope
• Try reducing --max-results

Card verification fails:

• The card's signature may be invalid
• The entity may have been tampered with
• Try re-fetching with zynd resolve
